Bayou Heron Park birding:
Bayou Heron park is a small park with a pier that overlooks
a marsh area and inlet of the Mississippi Sound. Birds that can be seen from
the pier include loons, grebes, mergansers, herons, and egrets.
The plants along the water's edge are great for small insect eating birds such
as warblers (pine, palm), gnatcatchers.
Smaller raptors such as kestrel are often hanging around the power lines here.
